Birthday Redux

A few weekends ago I celebrated my 25th birthday. And let me just tell you, it was absolutely divine. It was quite literally the best birthday I've ever had.

On Friday night, Kyle threw me a surprise party with some of my closest friends. It was so much fun, and a wonderful reminder of just how fortunate I am to have such amazing people in my life. Also, it was X-Files themed, so there's that.

LtoR: Kyle as an alien. My "X-Files" themed cake. My
FANTASTIC friends who will dress as FBI agents for me.

Saturday was my actual birthday, and I went with Morgan and Rachel to get tattoos. I now have a little bee resting on my shoulder, poised to fly and reminding me of the importance of community and femininity.

Thanks to the amazing Whitney at Love Tattoo!

I came home to a rose, homemade Rice Krispy treats (my favorite!), and a Springsteen vinyl from my sweet husband. We then spent the rest of the night eating pizza and watching movies (another one of my favorites).

He's only been promising to make my Rice Krispy treats for my
birthday for 5 years.

On Sunday, we drove down to my hometown to have lunch with my parents, sister, and grandparents. It was a beautiful day and so nice to be surrounded by my loving family. Kyle and I were both spoiled with good food, presents, and company. Apparently, I also didn't take any pictures while I was there. Lame...

I'm so grateful for everyone in my life, and so excited for what this next year holds. Hello, 25!
